Secure Operations Center (SOC)
Providing unparalleled customer support
MTNGS' solely owned Secure Operations Center (SOC) combines the expertise of both MTN Network Operations Centers (NOCs) into one government dedicated secure control center. The SOC provides 24-hour real-time for all MTNGS customers. While historically MTN has supported customers in a maritime environment, MTNGS provides technical support to land based fixed and mobile site customers.
SOC support includes monitoring and managing customer VSAT systems, terrestrial backbone, and locally and remotely located networking equipment, among others. MTNGS utilizes Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) monitoring tools including iDirect’s Network Monitoring Systems (iBuilder, iMonitor, and iSite), SatManage, SolarWinds, Whatsup Gold, and Remote Access Spectrum Analyzers, in concert with industry standard software including various real-time Network Management tools and BW Analyzer. The MTNGS SOC is capable of providing tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting on all MTNGS products and services.
SOC technicians are capable of providing tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting on all MTNGS products and services. In addition, all technicians are certified in the following:
- iDirect platform
- Remote stabilized antenna systems (SeaTel, Orbit, and Azimuth)
- Semi-mobile antennas (AvL Technologies and SWE-Dish)
- VSAT systems
The MTNGS SOC interacts with Radio and Communication Officers, System Managers, MTN Service Providers, Teleport Engineers, Satellite Operators and End Users. The SOC supports MTNGS' customers 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
