    Richard Hadsall is the founder and CTO of MTN Satellite Communications (MTN) in Miramar, Florida, and is also the CEO and CTO of the MTN Government Services (MTNGS) subsidiary in Leesburg, Virginia. From 1969 to 1972, Richard worked at Eclipse Systems, Fairfield N.J., specializing in fluidic computer and control systems. From 1972 to 1974, he was a sales engineer for Wilshire Electronics, in Passaic, New Jersey, specializing in electronic components for the military and aerospace industry.

    Launching a new maritime television service this past winter, MTN Satellite Communications (MTN) has signed up more than 40 ships and 35,000 passenger cabins for seven different cruise lines as this issue went to press, according to Brent Horwitz, senior vice president and managing director of the cruise and ferry business unit.

    MTN is using three overlapping satellite beams to deliver programming content from six network providers – BBC World News, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News, Sky News and Sky Sports News – so far.
